You DO NOT need to use ETH for GAS fees on the WhiteBIT exchange. 

EDC is paired with USDT on WhiteBIT and therefore, for all transactions in relation to EDC on WhiteBIT, you need only have USDT or EDC. 

The overall transaction fees and experience on WhiteBIT makes it more affordable and easier than performing transactions on Uniswap.

On WhiteBIT, the medium for transaction fee is USDT. 

Whereas on UNISWAP, GAS fees come into play. GAS fees may fluctuate significantly during Ethereum network congestion. 

Thus if you have EDCOIN (EDC) on UNISWAP, it is advisable that you move it out of UNISWAP for future transactions. However, the decision is yours. There are other pros and cons that you may need to factor it depending on your personal preferences.

Please bear in mind that the minimum deposit of EDC into WhiteBIT is determined by WhiteBIT.
