CHECKLIST | GUIDELINE

Use a secure wallet. Make sure to use a reputable wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens (EDCOIN i.e. EDC is an ERC20 token) and has security features such as two-factor authentication. (E.g. EDCOIN App and MASTER EDCOIN WALLET are secure wallets for the EDCOIN ecosystem).

Double-check the recipient address. Before sending any tokens, be sure to carefully double-check the recipient address. A single mistake could send your tokens to the wrong address and result in permanent loss.

Be aware of gas fees. Ethereum transactions require gas fees, which are paid to miners for processing the transaction. Be sure to have enough ETH in your wallet to cover the gas fee.

✅ Be mindful of the minimum amount of tokens that is expected by the exchange.

Send a small test amount first. It is always a good idea to send a small test amount of tokens first to make sure that the transaction goes through successfully.

✅ Be patient. Ethereum transactions can take some time to process, especially during peak times. Be patient and wait for the transaction to be confirmed before proceeding. (For EDCOIN App withdrawals, please allow for up to 72 hours for processing (GMT+8 time applies) and withdrawal approvals. The EDCOIN Foundation absorbs the transaction fee and this step is an additional manual measure to protect EDC in EDCOIN App.)

Additional Tips

✳️ Beware of phishing scams. Phishing scams are attempts to trick you into revealing your personal information or sending tokens to the wrong address. Be wary of any emails, links, or websites that claim to be from Whitebit or any other cryptocurrency exchange.

✳️ Never share your private key. Your private key is the key to your wallet and should never be shared with anyone. If you share your private key, someone else could gain access to your funds and steal them.

✳️ Keep your software up to date. Make sure to keep your wallet software and operating system up to date with the latest security patches. This will help to protect your wallet from known vulnerabilities.

✳️ By following these steps, you can safely transfer your ERC20 tokens to Whitebit and avoid losing them to theft or scams.
